Q: How long have you
owned your Cannondale?
I have owned my Cannondale for a year and
a half now
Q: Would you
recommend Cannondale to your buddies?
Yes! I've recommended Cannondales to
quite a few people, and everyone is happy with them
Q:. What type of riding do you do?
Mostly fast trail riding, I also run
the WNYOA harescramble series. You can usually find me at
the Allegehney National Forest in Marienville,pa every
weekend!
Q: What mods have you done to your bike?
I've added AC nerf bars,
bumper, skid plates. FMF moto exhaust, Elka
front shocks, Denton Steering stablizer, Blaze
rear beadlocks, and of course Champion
Motorsports Decal kit.
Q: What advice would you give someone just starting in the
Cannondale community?
Visit Cannondaleriders.com! This site is
compiled of the largest group of Cannondale enthusiast and
experts. There hasn't been a
situation that we haven't been able to handle. Doug along with
some TT work from Jay, has done an excellent job maintaining
this site and bringing in the experts. And last but not least,
get to know Scott Lowe from Champion Motorsports. Scott was
only a dealer for 3 short months prior to the closing of
Cannondale Motorsports. But he has spent the last year learning
and striving to keep the machines going. He has a long list of
contacts to get any problem fixed and fixed fast. He is one of
the big 4 when it comes to Cannondales. Wade Wilcox, Steve
Maslanik and Jim Winklebauer are also names that owners will
want to know.
Q. Give us a little history on yourself?
I started out riding motorbikes at
the ripe age of 2 1/2 on my JR 50, pretty much rode
bikes up through high school. I didn't understand what
those other 2 wheels where for! I sold all my toys to
go to college, but upon graduation in 97, I bought a
300ex. I ran that until early 99 when the 400ex came
out. I ran a few harescrambles on my 400ex after that
and then I read up on the Cannondales. I've always
strived to be the outsider, and this machine fit me to a
tee! A test ride at my local dealership lead to 2 quick
phone calls. One to Terry Marcum about the 2002
Cannibal he was selling cheap and the other to my buddy
that wanted my 400ex! I sold my 400ex one day, and had
my Cannondale shipped to me the next. I am working on
trading my current Cannondale right now for a 250r, but
only to keep the 250r as my race quad and I plan on
purchasing the first Dinli/ATK 440 that hits Champion
Motorsports showroom. I also did recently sell my
share of Champion Motorsports to Scott, but I will
continue to help anyone in anyway I can.
Q. Any sponsors/people you would like to thank?
I'd like to thank Doug for growing
this site to where it is today of course. Also Steve
Maslanik of cdaleparts.com I can't say enough about this
guy either. He started the Cannondale afterlife rave at
Champion Motorsports. Without his support and know how, we
couldn't have built Champion into the Cannondale support
shop it has become.
