Q: How long have you
owned your Cannondale?
I bought my first Cannondale in February
of 2002. An 02 Red Cannibal with the cable clutch. I sold it to
buy an 03 LE with the hydraulic clutch. The 02 has over 200
hours on it and still runs strong
Q: Would you
recommend Cannondale to your buddies?
Yes! but only if they realize these quads
aren’t for the faint of heart. With the way the prices are now
it is hard for me not to go out and buy another myself.
Q:. What type of riding do you do?
I race Dist 6 Harescrambles with CDRookie. I like XC riding a
lot, but have been getting more and more interested in trying
out MX
Q: What mods have you done to your bike?
The Dale has Hiper Rims, Maxxis Razor 2’s,
Elka Triple rate fronts, Dual rate Elka rear, Eyeball +1 A-Arms,
Hardkor Hubs, Lonestar Axle and antifade locknut. The motor is a
Champion Motorsports built 450 with polished head and re-angled
injectors, ceramic coated header, HMF slip on, Tag T-2
handlebars, Motion Pro Twist throttle, Old style FX-400 Plastics
with the N-Style graphics kit w/ a Hi-Flite seat.
Q: What advice would you give someone just starting in the
Cannondale community?
As has been
said many times before when I meet a new C-daler I tell them
sign up ask questions on this site. It is the greatest
collection of guys all dedicated to keeping these machines alive
and well. If you have a problem someone else has had it before
and can help you get through it. Keep up with the maintenance
although it is a chore it is well worth the work when you are
riding.
Q. Give us a little history on yourself?
I got
my first quad in 2001 when some guys said wouldn’t it be
cool. Well I took it serious and they didn’t. I bought a
2001 Warrior, but felt the need for more power. After a
while of internet searching I became intrigued by the
Cannondale and decided to get one. I started racing last
year and quickly realized you need to be in better shape
than I was in to race. I spent the entire off season
getting in better shape and improving myself. Now I feel
like I can hold my own on a quad. The rest of my time is
spent writing away on this forum and enjoying a cold
beer occasionally.
Q. Any sponsors/people you would like to thank?
All the members of the Cannondale
community and this forum, My wife who kept me from giving up
when I wasn’t doing well last year racing, My only sponsor
so far C&D Racing. Colby and Dusty have been great friends
and have always helped me out when I have been in a pinch.
Jay and Doug for keeping this site up and helping out people
they really don’t know except by on this forum, and all the
great people I have met from this forum who make me want to
keep riding my Dale forever.
