ATK MOTORCYCLES EXPANDS ITS DEVELOPMENT TEAM
Salt Lake City, UT. December 1,

ATK and Wade
Wilcox (former R&D Manager for South Bay Moto) have joined
forces to provide the owners of Cannondale motorcycles and ATVs
with superior product support.
Under license from Wade Wilcox Engineering, ATK now has the
technology to modify many of the parts it recently purchased
from Cannondale which will add much needed reliability to the
powerplant. According the Frank White, CEO of ATK, “The
Cannondale powerplant has had a reputation of being a truly
innovative high-performance motor. However, it also has had a
reputation for being plagued with reliability problems. With the
proven upgrades Wade has developed over the past two years, the
reliability issue is being dealt with and we are quite excited
about what this motor can become”.
According to the dedicated Cannondale Website forums, Wade
Wilcox is well known for being one of the most knowledgeable in
the industry when it comes to making the motor more reliable, as
well as his ability to add high performance enhancements to the
powerplant.
In addition to the reliability upgrades, ATK now will have the
ability to increase the displacement from 432 to 449cc, making
the motor more competitive with other brands.
ATK will be offering the reliability upgrades to all owners of
Cannondale products. Cannondale owners will be required to
contact their local dealer to make arrangements to have their
motors shipped to ATK’s Utah facility.
