Make sure that your battery cables are routed right. I had the exact same problem and my battery cables were routed backwards.

I have a spare starter solenoid that I will sell you cheap, brand new never used.

Okay, after much head scratching and a few late nights, I determined that I had the wires coming from the battery to the starter solenoid, and from the starter solenoid to the starter reversed. I'll second the small Cannondaleriders.com logo on the front with some sort of print on the back. I like the airbrushed look too, but if the consensus says action shot, then I will go that way.
