With greater revs comes vastly increased torsional vibration.
For example, a last-revison E30 DTM BMW (2.5 litre 4 cyl 355-365bhp) will rev to 9000 on long-distance endurance events without any issues at all but rev to 9500 and they are only good for 'sprint' races. Rev them to 10,000 ...

Longer rod for shorter stroke (400cc).... (and shorter piston)...?

Smaller big end because the larger diameter would otherwise clash with the crank core at the shorter stroke?

Looks like the JE piston was 'borrowed' from a 2-valve car engine going by the thick oil ring...

Hello again all......

Work has got a little quieter now so I should be able to start parting some magnets from the spun stock flywheels I have here.

There was a small aspect of the 2nd prototype that I wasn't happy with but it seems that so far it's holding up anyway.<...

Apart from the 'News' type publications, such as 'Autosport', magazines in the UK give good reviews to the companies who spend lots with them on advertising.

There's just no point buying them because you just don't get an un-biased review about anything. The whole ...

Hey guys, long time no-speak from me too....

I've been out of the Cannondale playing thing for a couple of years myself, just popping on here occasionally for a quick look.

I've been busy building and racing a circuit race car and, at the end of the season this year I ...
