Hi All.

Just thought I'd share a little something I am up to.

I found the throttle a little 'snatchy' off the bottom for some of the types of riding we do. I played with the throttle cals etc but no amount of 'ramping' the ignition is going to make the airfl...

[attachment=2149:attachment]Is it just me or does everyone suffer with the glass part of the headlamp bulbs falling off due to vibration after a while?

Anyway, I've fixed it by replacing the whole lamp assembly with one from PIAA.

They are almost a direct swap and they actu...

The main thing I am working towards is not having to do all this twice a year, every year.....

Plus, if we don't make what we have last properly with some proper thought and applied engineering, we'll run out of essential parts and then what will we have?

I'm doing...

Hey guys, be real careful putting stress on the plastic connector housing on those weber-marelli 'PICO' injectors, they break for fun at the root where they are thin! They have tiny wires inside the moulding and the slightest 'tweak' on the plastic snaps the wire inside so you ge...

Hey, neat GIF!

I hadn't seen this when I posted about coating the cam gears to reduce backlash, I'd just stripped a pretty new motor and was surprised how much play there was.

Your gif looks no worse than my motor. I wonder if there is some issue with some of the ...

Casidium is supposed to be diamond-like hard.

The idea is that you can run without a bushed little end, thus putting less hoop-stress on the rod and saving some weight. The coating stops 'pick-up' like the stock ones do. The one I just stripped was very low hours and was already s...

Hi.

Has anyone tried having the cam gear teeth coated with anything to take out some of the slop to reduce timing scatter and, god forbit, some NOISE?

Cheers.

Hi

Has anyone tried using Casidium coated wrist pins with the stock, unbushed, rod? They are supposed to work best run straight in the rod.

Cheers.

Hi Wistech.

I'm looking at getting some cams (and some 'blanks' for development use), made in EN40B and some buckets to suit. I will be getting some ground with the stock profiles and some with more lift and duration to match the increased flow found at higher lifts with modi...
