If you can do a little TIG (or have friend that can) you can adapt an FMF Q or something else that is a slip on type. Dave used to have some Euro exhausts that have a pipe you can adapt to an aftermarket muffler - I don't know if he still has them. Anyway I have an FMF Q4 on my e440 and it has m...

Download the manual - it's pretty good. These are pretty easy to work on too. There are some other maps you can load to change the behavior of the motor if you don't like how it works for you now. They multiplied for me too. Now I have 3 bikes and a quad.

I used my Rekluse with a cable clutch on my X440s before I switched it to a hydro clutch motor. For the cable clutch I needed to use an extra ball and a different clutch lever perch to get the right clutch cable length. I ended up making a custom rod instead and it fit better that way. Another innovate user here. I have the data aq set-up and and rpm sensor/inductive pick-up. I've used it for years with EFI cars and it's a great tuning tool. For getting AFR where you want it's great, but timing optimization can benefit from some measure of power (timed acceleration, et...

I got the 3 phase stator and regulator from Dave and put them on an 02 E440. It was easy to do and now I have plenty of juice for dual sport lights. Let me know if you need a picture.

I did something a little different for my quad. I drilled out the threaded inserts in the cradle and then tapped the spacer (that I machined to fit) and had a wrench flat on it. Then I used larger 7/16 bolts through the cradle and mounting ears and tightened them into the tapped spacer with red loct...

Actually the shock is from a 2000 ATK605 with a 600 cc air cooled Rotax motor. It's about 25-30 lbs heavier than a Cannondale E440.
