I measured my X440s at 20 in with the stock FMF with a quiet core in it and was just below 100 dB. I have a FMF Q on my E440 and that is definitely less loud, but I have not measured it yet. It seems just a little bit less than the toaster I have on the quad. I used to have a Yoshi RS muffler on the...

Thanks for the info. Was this for a new or old crank? Before I rebuilt my X440s motor it was the smoothest thing I had ridden. After I rebuilt it, switched to a different z400 old crank and put in an Asso piston it was not as smooth anymore. Are the weights different between the Asso and early pisto...

I just had a bike shipped from Vermont to Ca and it cost $550. No crating or special treatment required and it was transported inside a truck. I went through Shippingmasters (on the web). They have mutliple options available. It worked out Ok.

Like everyone else said Dave is a quality guy. He has helped many of us and you should feel lucky to have him work on your machine. It will be done right and will be better/more reliable than when it was new.

Topic: trans doesn't to stay in neutral

I have a trans in my bike that is supposed to be pretty fresh and it does not always like to stay in neutral. It can be idling in neutral and sometimes all of the sudden jumps into gear. My older trans never did that. Not too cool. Is this something that has happened to anybody else? Can I fix it? I...
