I got 4 years of use out of my battery using a battery tender and I think it is a Battery Tender brand. It stayed on 24/7. I guess I was lucky.

I just want to make it reliable. Maybe a little more power. I don't race, just woods riding and every once in a while hit a local MX track or two. I would really like to supertard it. But I would have to lower the bike.

MAZ still has a Honda Recon 250 engine I sent him over 4 years ago. Well, I think he still has it. The last time I talked to him about 2 years ago, he said it was still in the crate I sent it in and he had not touched it.

Did the bolt cut through the wire? That would have made a path to ground and blown the fuse. I have seen a pitched wire act like an open or broken wire before. Maybe it was pitched off tight enough to break most of the wires inside.
