They break right where the countersink is for the bolt, it's a bit thin there. I don't know if a washer would help it or not, I kinda doubt it, the other caps have more "meat" to them and don't seem to be any problem.

same here, Sears.. they don't have a 8mm 12 point. but you can use the 12 point 5/16 socket

we make a steel replacement cam cap, as we've had a few break also. the one that broke was the one right behind the waterpump impeller, right? and keep in mind... don't over tighten the bolts when putting it back together. use a torque wrench!

27, did you see the swaybar we had on john's moto at ashtabula? It was the proptotype we built and fits like a glove.
going to be building a couple more with the gingerbread on them (chromed, alum arms, an such) pm me if interested.

I've been making a few of these bolts with bigger heads and out of different materials, even have 2, I made out of titanium (was bored that night) if you want one in alum, steel or titanium, give me a PM. and I'll send one out.

also picked up one of the cast swingarms, 388,000 cycles @ 1250#.... outstanding performance! very nice piece! It's going on my personal quad.
