yes, you can check it in the frame, but dang is it ever tight (need small fingers). if you drain the coolant is also alot less messy, and make sure your pets can't get at the drained or spilled coolant cause they LOVE the stuff and it will kill them if they drink it.

Today I went and talked to modern heat treating in erie, pa. what ever you do DO NOT powdercoat your frame it WILL lose the temper. the process goes like this.... the frame is heated to around 1000 degrees to normalize it, then it is placed in a solution to prepare it for tempering, it is then heate...

I was told that the 425 degree heat for powdercoating "may " affect the heat treat. Guess we'll soon find out. Let us know if the frame softens.

be very careful here... you've probably got shot swingarm pivot bushings. i would make a pin out of steel on a lathe that was a bit smaller than the bolt and turned down on the end to fit the hole in bolt to keep it centered and whale away at it. if you can support the frame on the other side it wou...

the valve cover corrosion issue is something we're working on, we're looking at it with a .030 lazer cut plate with adhesive on one side to seal to the cover, which will keep the coolant away from cover, we're probably within 2 weeks of having parts in our hands.
