No first hand knowledge from me but you might want to check out everything2stroke.com. There's 4 or 5 quys on there that have and post about them. They have a Gas Gas section in the atv fourm. I've also always liked the Gas Gas, we all must have the same " a little strange taste."

I just might be interested in it if its still around in a week or so.Waiting on the tax return to show up.Whats it set up for?

The 440 was only made in 94-95.The bottom end is same as the 500/540/550.The 440 uses the 500 92mm piston with a shorter stroke rod.Basicly its a rev happy 500.
