Let's hope for the best since one crank has 3hrs. Wistech, What would the difference be in cash after a trade for stock updated one? Stroker? Of course pending inspection. I believe Brad had them for close to $500 which isn't too bad but hoping to save a little cash. If I could pick up ...

I have searched the forums and cannot locate the part number for the Z bearing. I went to a dealer and they gave me a list of numbers but not sure which is needed.

But as an easier alternative, anyone have a stroker setup or stock updated crank already? I have a stock updated and a stock...

The black one will still pit but not sure how long or what it takes. I have a black one that bubbled and started to corrode through. Switched it to aluminum.

What all is needed when rebuilding the cranks on these? Anything else other than the Z400 bearing? Not familiar with crank work and the engine is coming out probably this weekend. Want to either get it done locally or send out asap. Peak of riding season for bikes here.

Thanks. That's what I figured. I have a spare aluminum valve cover but haven't looked to see if they'll swap since its a quad one. Gonna run it over this weekend and pull the crank for Z bearing in the coming weeks. Gonna stay stock except maybe a port job and aluminum parts.

...

Thanks for the help guys, but went a different route. Found a former dealer with an 03 E440 sitting in the corner. Has an hour meter with 3hrs on it and looks brand new. Came with multiple clutches, pistons, d&m kit, bars, levers, fork seals, etc. All for $1200. Even put a brand new battey ...

Interesting, haha. May just have to pick up yet another project. Has anyone seen this clutch cover? I don't recall seeing a bare aluminum one like this before.

Any other input? I keep reading about different issues with the 01 motors with a crank issues, clutch issues, and more. Not sure if I want to buy one and dump a ton of cash to make it reliable.

The bike like said is 100% original. No factory updates or dealer work. Hasn't seen a deale...

I need to send out a crank so who has fast turnaround and reliable? I don't want it to be months on end. I was told Timbo but may take a long time. I have Thumper Racing fairly close to me but someone who really knows these things would make me feel better. I just need the z bearing and I guess ...
