I would try removing the relay first. simple to try and doesen't cost anything. my cannibal did the same thing. removed the relay and it ran fine

not sure how high you usually rev on the dyno but I did notice that one doesn't even hit 10G. I know a lot of dalers drop the rev limit back before the Z bearing.

the only thing I see that would be odd is "the crank was in great shape"
