Well I got it ported I actualy put a + two mm valve in it and ported the intake and used the jb weld to help flow. I put a D shape in the exhaust . Yes its a flat head 5hp. Ill upload some pictures of the port work and jb weld. I shaved the eye brows and milled the head. Im putting a 6hp intake valve in it. Its 2 mm bigger, and im going to try a 22 mm round slide carb. Im working on a 3 stage exhaust. I don't have the billet rod or flywheel...

Hey guys I could use alittle insite on porting a 5hp Briggs flat head. I ported the intake and exhaust, but Im wanting to put a D shape in the exhaust will jb weld hold up?

I never thought of that. All the dirt bikes seem to keep fouling plugs. The cr500 has a new top end and still fouled a plug withen minutes of ridding I went thru the carbs checking the float level, all of it good. But I still think my psi is to high.

Hey wistech. What type of adjustable regulator did you use? My brother has one on his car that is adjustable . From 60 all the way down to 5 psi I might still it.

Thanks guys. The fuel pump is pretty quite. The only other noise the pump makes is when there is no fuel in the tank for lines. It sounds like a electric rc motor. Tell it fills with fuel. But the sqilling noise comes from the regulator. My orginal regulator did the some thing. Before it stopped flo...

I checked my fuel psi. And it was around 59 to 60.

Ill check the gas tank screen. Alread checked the screen in the regulator it was clean. I tried another fuel filter, and it flowed a lot better back to normal but then acted clogged again.

I don't have the quick connects any more. I have a hose barbs on the tank. And fuel filter is new. Like 30 minutes new.
