I cant get the first one off. The washer wont even come off. Both rotate, but it has a stiff spot once in a while. Is that normal? I pulled the pick up cover off and cleaned both sides good but still does not spin free, still has a stiff spot.

The kits for all the 450s are the same. Your can by them one at a time or a shim kit for around $75.00. The shim kit is from Hot Cams part # HCSSIM02. They are 9.48 mm. od and come from 1.20mm to 3.50mm. Hope this helps you out.

So if my bottom end was full of oil my scavange pump is not working? The three gears are all in good shape. Could it still be the scavange pump, even if the gears are not striped?

I'm in the process of pulling the engine right now. Drained the oil from the spares seemed about right. When I drainedthe engine there was a sh!! load of oil in it. Once I get it out I am going to check the scavange pump. Am I on the right track?

Ok, I took off the hose from the cross member between the two spares. Started the engine and no oil pumped out of the hose connected to the bottom of the engine. I take it that means I have an oil pump problem. Am I correct on this?

All lines are hooked up correctly. Is there a check valve that could be stuck or something else?
