NRath, your carb is the source of decreased fuel economy, but it's good for about 5 hp over the BSR36. If you find you need a little more juice, pop in a set of Hotcams stage 1 and take 2 layers out of the base gasket and head gasket. I took PV and squish measurments and there is plenty of room....

My DRZ only has about a 2 gallon tank. I usually fill up at around 100 miles and have only managed to run it down to the reserve once.<br /><br />Wistech, you might find that your fuel economy will increase with the big motor. It'll need a lot less throttle input to go even faster than the stock...

My DRZSM gets 60mpg in town and 65 up in the twisties. I've checked it a couple of times and it's always in that range.

Dirt bikes have such a long swing arm (and wheel base) that they are much easier to control while sliding. When ever my sport bikes got out of like, they would always snap. The DRZ is much more lazy in stepping out. <br /><br />Backing it in is best done in the dirt. Try to load the front suspension...

Dirtbikes have so much rake and trail that they are pretty stable. I've had my DRZ at 100 a few times and the only instability was caused by the wind buffetting my shoulders. The more power the better. With more power you can adjust your gearing so you can run down the freeway at 70MPH (and not ...
