I run the 18" holeshot mxr and have had them for about a month now and can just see a little wear on them. I like how they perform, just wish they were a little wider.

I cut off about 6.5 inches last night and put everything back together. This thing is loud. I do not have to worry about someone hitting my tip anymore though. Was kinda hard to expand the tube to accept the tip again.

I am just experimenting with my setup. I am no professional at this sport and I no expert mechanic, but I for sure don't have the money to just go buy everything I see that will make me faster. Well I just ordered my K&N filter through Advance auto and it will be here tommorrow. It is just a simple clamp on style and comes with a prefilter. But what is the purpose of the "box"? Why not just have the filter directly on the throttle body? Or a hose connecting the two? I don't understand how that box can store enough air to be any more better than just having the filter directly attached to the throttle body. There should be plenty of air...
