when i open the security code file in the dealercal program it lists a pc id code, and it asks for a security code. is the pc id code for my comp only? im borderline retarded when it comes to computer programing and stuff. so bear with me.

i know they request a ipc number for your computer, but as long as you have the specific security code for the copy of the software will it still open up and run on any computer?

if the dealer was going to "load it on a new computer" i think he could call up optimum and get the program if he didnt have it lying around. im almost positive that they kept the pass key for each dealership on file. ill keep everyone posted.

with the dealer security code on the dealer cal software, is there a specific code for each copy of software? or is there a generic code that will work for all? its version 2.

i got some goodies

today i stopped by the local dealership that carried cannondales. i wanted to know if he still had the equiptment to remap my quad. he ended up selling me the software, cable and the dealer full illustrated manuals, for pretty cheap. i was psyced about it. thought id share my news.

maybe the speed connectors for the gas tank, the hoses on my quad seem pretty flexible, im not sure how prone to drying out they are.

the clutch could be out of calibration on the basket itself. if there is enough wear and tear on the clutches themselves it might just need to be re calibrated. are you batery cables nice and tight? how are your grounds to the frame? any loose ones or corrosion?

how can you tell which computer it is? mine doesnt say mc1000, but it does say something with 1000as in it. thats not the exact number but its not in front of me and i cant remember it exactly.
