Hey thomez how loud is your exhaust?

I keep reading how quiet your exhaust "might" be but without numbers I'm not willing to take the chance. I got a db meter and started trying different things to get quieter and so far I can't get below 100db. I started at about 106 so it's getting better but I need 96 to be legal in California and I...

The stock Speed exhaust started coming apart inside after about 4 rides. That "toaster" was a little quieter but it was a piece of crap! Don't want to go back there.

I was thinking that running it a little rich and retarding the timing in the mid range might be a little quieter. Then I could get the map-select and switch to this one for the test then swit...

Noise restrictions

Living in California, I now have noise restrictions to worry about. I have an '02 Speed and rather than buying a full exhaust system that no one could confirm would pass the test, I adapted a White Bros E-series silencer to it. I got the quiet insert for it and I've tried taking out plates and it's ...

Just had to put in my .02<br />Try pricing the bottom end of a small block ford that will turn 11,600 rpm and you will be very pleased with the price of the stuff from SBM <img src="http://www.cannondaleriders.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":...
