The old issue of ATV Source I ordered from last year with an article about this axle came today. As soon as I finish reading it, I will scan it if anyone would like to read it.

I am on the look out, that's for sure! I would love to see them start developing them soon. The weight diffrence would be worth every penny.

I guess I am a little unclearof how an axle made from any type of material has 'giving' features. They either break or they don't. Correct?

Or are you simply saying it doesn't bend before actually snapping in two?

I would be interested to see if it can even be broken in the fir...

Doesn't Sprocket Specialist make a spilt sprocket? I know they do for bikes and some other quads. That would make it simple.

Thanks for the responses.

I will be using stock wheels for the first couple of months. Then switching to Hi Pers. I will probably stick with same offset as stock on those.

I guess I will need to go with +3 in order to get what I am looking for.

I don't mean to jump in so late in the conversation. But what would be the correct size a arm to choose if I wanted to get out close to 50" but NOT over?

And how much does the +1 forward make when choosing the a arm?

I would have to try and look it up again. I used some deeper search tools and found the picture, and only the picture. No text. I am currently trying to contact the website owner.

Carbon Fiber Axle

Does anyone know if they finished developing a carbon fiber axle for the CDale? I know they produced a few for testing.
