mine had a "20" in there replaced it and the fuel pump kicked over hit the green go botton and she came to life

checked all connections and found the ground on the batt. was a bit lose 2.5 turns and it was tight then found a small crack in the red wire that comes out of the starter soleniod!!! i think that if it got wet it might cause the fuse to blow shutting down the bike. any theroy in this????

quadrider, you got it . right cable to starter, left goes to battery. however ther are 2 different types of soleniods, if im right the oldest version '01- early '02 had the soleniod the had 2 wires that came out of the top. ( one red one blue that has pig tale on that) or you have one that plugs rig...

quadrider, your 450 sounds pretty much like the same set up that i have its ok to take the 2 wires from the clutch and wick them together the bike just starts without the clutch being pulled. has any member had the fuse go out on them?? its located right next to where u would hook up the dm kit!!! and if so what the **** would cause the fuse to blow ???????

just wondering ? do u hear a click when u press the start botton??? if so check the starter silinoide(sp) had that problem fuel pump would turn on but starter solenoid would not engage the starter once the solenoid was changed out it fired up!

josh were did u get the bike from??? what probleams???mine the crank bearing went after bout 80 hours be like running with deavil ever since !!!! sold it to a kid i feel will keep cannondales alive for some time
