Remove the flywheel cover on the right hand side and use a socket to turn it. You should be able to feel tight spots like the compression stroke and opening of valves but it should be smooth with no roughness, grinding noises or abrupt hard spots. Thanks for the input, I talked to Brad O. and he said ATK also said that either one would work. They also said that the FX's had aluminum valve retainers that are a green/yellow in color and are bad about letting the keepers pull through and to change them and the keepers at the same time. If it is the purple stuff by loctite/permatex that looks and kind of smells like grape jelly it is good for certain applications (cork and paper) but I don't think I would trust it on an o-ring seal for water under pressure just because it is non drying, seems like it would just get pushed out of th...

Does anyone know the lenghts of the two different buckets? I need one new one and didn't record the lengths of the ones in the other motors we have worked on.
