I think there were some posts about relocating the pump but can't remember if any were MSD. Contact Brad Oakley at Black Widow Atv or any of the other site sponsors there is a list of parts and sources on here somewhere but don't remember where will try to find it.

What about the cast case with the extra strengthening bolt and old R.H. crank bearing? Were any of these made into unicorn's? Does anyone have a picture of the extra bolt? I have been told to look out for it but have never seen one. Kdeal did you do that homemade unicorn? Is there any thing I need t...

Remove the flywheel cover on the right hand side and use a socket to turn it. You should be able to feel tight spots like the compression stroke and opening of valves but it should be smooth with no roughness, grinding noises or abrupt hard spots. Turn it over several revolutions, also check the oil...

Thanks for the input, I talked to Brad O. and he said ATK also said that either one would work. They also said that the FX's had aluminum valve retainers that are a green/yellow in color and are bad about letting the keepers pull through and to change them and the keepers at the same time. I'm guess...

If it is the purple stuff by loctite/permatex that looks and kind of smells like grape jelly it is good for certain applications (cork and paper) but I don't think I would trust it on an o-ring seal for water under pressure just because it is non drying, seems like it would just get pushed out of th...

valve buckets

Does anyone know the lenghts of the two different buckets? I need one new one and didn't record the lengths of the ones in the other motors we have worked on. The one that is bad is out of a early 02 motor (FX parts) and measures .772 +/- long. If this is the older style are they still available? It...

Ihaven't read of a dale with this problem yet but some of the others here probably have. Polaris had this problem on the early rangers and had us use 271 red loctite on the crankshaft, this is normally not the correct way to install a flywheel on a self holding taper, normally both pieces need to be...
