Take apart your fuel regulator... It is pretty simple with just a snap ring and there is a spring and a "O" ring and piston of sorts in there... maybe it is just stuck and your pressure is sky high.

The more you get comfortable with riding and now knowing it can be safely done the more you may want to do it.
But as stated there is some risk but fairly minor. I only had one cannondale ransmission gear break once and it was by a guy that did not let the quad warm up at all and might not have...

Been down that road before... the aisan batteries do not handle vibration.
The dekka or the expensive yausa is the only way to go in my opinion.
A dekka can be had a local auto supplier here for under $70 car quest also carries them but under their label.

He high dollar yausa from japan is pretty good... the cheaper ones from other asian countries not so much especially if you have to activate it with acid.
I usually go for the dekka as it is made in usa and actually tested for vibration... they have them for about $70 at my local auto part...

There is an external fuel pressure regulator so I would guess it would assuming that car was fuel injected.
But if it was a carb'd car it would be way too low of a pressure.
If it does not work I have a tested one and will stand by it for $50 shipped.
