i dont think there is any way short of stuffing it with steel wool to get it too pass and im sure you'd have to put the spark arrestor in it to help..

i thought for some reason they replaced the hiem set up...

okay...i have a set of plastic bushings i got and since my regular hiem type bushings are worn out im thinking of replacing them...how the **** do they work? do the plastic ones replace the whole thing or do they go in there as a replacement for the rubber bushings? secondly they dont fit in the hol...

ok i dont think its a compression issue....

did it ever sputter, backfire or anything? you never mentioned but did you test to see if you got spark? (ie putting a sparkplug in the coil and grounding it?)
