I know that mine was just plain coming loose. I could make two laps around the track and would have play in the sprocket hub. Once I installed the lonestar nut, no more problems.

No, this is the way that the Dura Blue comes. I know that cannondale was in the process of developing a carbon fiber axle. Does anyone know how far they got on that project before the bankruptcy thing?
