They don't idle at the nice slow lope the japper's do. 2200-2300 is a pretty good clip. Also want to make sure its up to temp before calling the idle good- makes a difference. It takes several minutes at idle, maybe 4-5, to get it warmed up. That's a good feeling when they fire! ****...

I would think it's just as likely the engine oil would seep into tranny with a cartridge plate seal issue. The oil level is probably about the same between the 2 when not running. I'm trying to think of where the trans oil is pressurized that could leak into the engine side. Not having much ...

My take on the "case saver" is that it needs to be wider than the chain and the top section really should be larger to block the chain wrap inherent to the failure. That upper chain roller has probably been the key to reducing cracked cannondale cases as it will stop the chain from whippin...
