I hope you did not really put 1/2 inch inside the cover! There is not that much room and the internals will just eat it off. It will clog up the oil passages and that would not be good!

They did have shortened suspension which that bike does not have. I would sure check the VIN before believing it was a real factory supermotard.

My guess in the fuel pump was to get it out of the heat from the radiator. It would have also enhanced the air flow through the radiator helping to keep both water and fuel cooler. A side benefit would have also been helping to lower the center of gravity.

I am in the Houston area and you can find several tracks here. Since you don't want to go racing it is easy to find tracks that are just running practice. All are within one hour of town (plus or minus ) depending on where you are staying.

There are several places to ride in the Houston area. Most are MX tracks but the trails in the national forest are a option. It really depends on what kind of riding you prefer and if you ride a bike or a quad.

The air box is one of my major complaints about the bikes. It is made of a much too brittle plastic and cracks very often when ridden for motocross. I have had some success with taking the two bolts out that hold the air box to the frame and replacing them with zip-Ty's loosely connected. It can...
