Ive been using two master links on the same chain for years. I have two different gear ratios for summer and winter. I dont see any kind of problem because all master links are just as strong as the rest of the chain .

well you could just buy a new one from Maz or dig through some fastener catalogs for banjo bolts. Im a cheap skate and would take the time to build one on my mini lathe. They dont cost that much.
