If I have this correct, the bearing cage was deforming the stock steel pressed in sleeve? So it looks like you bored out the aluminum and put a thicker chromoly sleeve in.

AHHH, I hadn't really thought of crosswinds. I still don't think it would be a problem IMHO.

Is the tongue weight, once loaded going to be too much for your SRW? Lot of difference in payload(tongue weight for a fifth wheel) between a DRW and SRW even if the SRW is a one ton.
