I just re-read your post. I think the 06 has different gear ratios so that top speed might not be as high as the 05 if that is what you are talking about? However it should be quicker to reach top speed.

Bone stock 05 should lose to a bone stock 06. Should. Change the gearing on the 05 and do ANYTHING to the motor, even just a slip-on and you should walk all over the 06. These quads really respond to mods, but are really pathetic bone stock. A totally stock 450r isn't even worth riding in my opinion...

The Predator needs nothing. You can tell its been ridden, but it is not beat. It runs really good.
