rubber seal under front hood

#1 Post by kstevens »

if you guys are like me.... the rubber seal under the front bodywork had fallen off, so this weekend i tried something, i went and bought some 2 part epoxy for rubber and plastic, cleaned both surfaces with some carb cleaner, mixed up the epoxy, (get the quick setting epoxy) and applied it to the plastic on the tray, then lay on your rubber seal. I did the front piece first, once i applied the epoxy, then laid the seal in the proper location i zip tied it in place, then on to the sides, once everything was zip tied down, i let mine set up overnight, and that thing is on there like a champ

Done the same here, except I didnt zip-tie mine. I took self-tapping screws and screwed it to the tray. Zip-ties would be the better of the two.
