Get a 06 or newer seat for YFZ.Much better foam than earlier ones.Looks nice too with silver on bottom.

So the filler neck is about 3 inches too far back for the yamaha tank cover. Maybe an aluminum tank could be made to about the same size as the stock one with a new filler neck location to fit the plastic. I know its more work but the rest of the plastic seems to be fitting nicely. And with the pod filter, you have the room to extend the neck forward to make it work. It looks like it might even be possible to adjust the top of the tank using a little heat. Just angle it forward.

It almost looks like you could enlarge the Yamaha filler opening for the pod filter, then cut a new opening for the dale filler,or completely cut off the back of the plastic tank cover, like a Honda 450.Might look like a desert tank.

Guys this is going to be one of those either love it or hate it things. For me and my size and riding style no quad has come close to the comfort and feel of the YFZ.Now if I can get that in a Cannondale I am in.At least for my race quad.Dont worry about the negativity Sloot do what you want to do.

I payed ???????75 for the plastic, so to me its worth a shot to see if it works.

So far it seems very easy to make it work, except for the fuel tank. A 250R conversion requires more work (new subframe).
