Are you saying that if I use the stock front # plate that I'm going to be running hot?Should I cot holes in the front plate?Does anyone running the stock front # plate have these problems?
I think they were designed to keep the radiator from getting clogged. They direct the air to the shrouds not directly on the radiator. I would consider getting bigger shrouds. I myself have pc carbon fiber ones. They bring in alot more air.
I have the number plate. I think it adds a nice tough to the bike. I also made a pair of shrouds out of aluminum diamond plate for less than 20 bucks.
I ran a race with it for an hour and a half wide open and didnt have the fan running when I stopped. My shrouds are angled out a bit, but not much, remember, you're still getting a lot of airflow in and around the bumper area, and if it needs to the fan will come on and force air through the radiator.
