I have lost mine a few times 2. But now I have installed an extra nut to secure it in place. The nut is in between the frame and plastic and after I have screwed the knob in the seat I screw the nut down to the frame part and then make sure it's tight.

I also put some copper-ease on the knob to make sure it doesn't seize in the threads of the seat.

Thanks for the repsonses guys. I fixed it with 2 studes in the plastic and some pins. I actually had all the parts necessary lying around the garage.
