Is anyone in the market for a heavy duty belly skidplate that is made from the same material as our stock swingarm skids? I am thinking of making my own from 3/16 high density polyethylene. The aluminum ones work well but we all know how the stock skids hold up, and I think would be better for our application.
If anyone is interested, let me know. I should have a working prototype here in the next week or so.

I would be interested in one. I've never liked aluminum skid plates due to the vibration.

I will take one.Another thing nice is it shouldnt add to the noise from the motors like the aluminum plates do.

They work pretty well and some top racers swear by them. Brandon Sommers has been running one almost his entire racing career and has held up well. The only drawback that I have heard (but not tested) is that it takes a pretty thick material to protect like the aluminum does. Which means less ground clearance. Again, I haven't tested this hypothesis but I just wanted to address that subject while we're talking about them.

I've had a plastic belly skid on our 450r for over a year now and it is great. It never comes loose, never vibrates, and is still in one piece. It's not really any thicker than aluminum.

I was thinking of about $50-$60 plus shipping obviously. I need to work out exact pricing once I build the kit, however it will be certainly cheaper than an aluminum skid and much more durable. Not looking to make any money off the deal, just to offer something that people could use that will cover my cost

I've been looking at making Roger one of these for the last couple of months. Sorry Roger, keeps dropping off the radar. The stuff I've used before is about 1/4 thick and can really take a beating.
