Hmmm, maybe... My first refurb was an '02 cable clutch Cannibal with the holes closed. Had to drill them. But, it was a re-furb, so the frame may have originally went out as an FX.

Nerf bar holes solid,stack of dimes weld beads ,and more pieces on the rear frame spars sure make it look like an fx400.

What extra pieces are there?

I might be mistaken on that one. I could have sworn that the rear spars were made with more pieces at the top on the early ones but I think They are just more pronounced due to the welds.

No your right the early ones have an extra piece at that joint.

Thats what I thought but I was just looking at my ST Anthonies quad and its an fx400 frame but is built just like my 02 moto frame (except for the nerf bar holes, A arm joints and weld quality. . I wonder if there was a cutoff point in the fx production?
