Ive been doing some work salvaging some fenders . Here is an FX400 rear fender that had a 10 inch crack on the left side . Someone did the old frankenstein trick with zip ties. I welded up the holes and the crack and reinforced it using the stainless mesh trick. I think its far stronger than it was originally. I reused the number plate decal hiding the bumpy zip tie job.

Here was a very trashed piece with one side missing a couple inches of material and the holes ripped right out of the other. I used some material from a donor piece and welded it back together . There was a crack under the seat area as well. Its not show quality but it functional enough to keep the mint stuff in storage.
