Cannondaleriders

New cdale owner here. We picked up a 03 glamis this sat and the engine cradle is cracked on both sides right behind the welds on the front motor mounts. My question is do i need to buy a new cradle or is it safe to just weld up the cracks, if i need a new cradle can someone tell me where to pick one up and how much.

i don't believe you will find a new one anywhere. But a good used one shouldn't be to hard to find.

Do you know where to find one and about how much? Is this going to be something i am replacing often

I am curious why couldn't he just weld it? I would thing as long as the proper weld was used and it was addressed by a good welder it would hold just as good. It may be just as expensive as buying the used cradle, but I was still curious.

It could be welded by an aircraft welder. Not just any schmo can handle it though

I was just wondering. There might be a time when the original parts aren't available and the new versions change from what we have so I just wanted to make sure there were no ther issues.
