I got a TUSK Aluminum cap from a CR250 but I can't get it to thread on right. Is there a trick I need to know about to make it work?

I know that the 1994-2003 Honda CR250 Dirt bike cap works, as that's what I am using now. I bought a replacement one from UFO as well. I was looking at the Tusk ones as they are billet aluminum and cheap too. Maybe the fit is why they are cheap....

I had a leak in my cap over the weekend so I went to my local
salvage shop and the BEST fit I had was with a cr80 any year gas cap. It fits perfect and is it doesnt like a drop ever. That is what I would reccomend, Nick.
