Make sure that your battery cables are routed right. I had the exact same problem and my battery cables were routed backwards.
I have a spare starter solenoid that I will sell you cheap, brand new never used.

Mine did the exact same thing and I thought the same thing but after buying a new solenoid/battery and checking everything, turns out the crank went out. Not saying yours is that but make sure it's the solenoid first.
Take off the solenoid cover and where the wires connect to it put somethin steel or something on it and it'll spark but will bypass the soleniod basically. This will show if it's bad or not. Somebody else might explain it better.
