We have had some problems with the Motorcycles when you kill the bike and then don't hit the kill switch. Actually the electronics are still on until you hit the kill switch.
The Batteries are small and light and as a result wont crank and crank.

and now its turning over and not starting when i have the battery charged!

ok now when it is charged it will turn over but will not start

So true , A slow cranking dale is a nonstarting dale.

THIS SOUNDS LIKE A PROBLEM THAT I HAD WITH MY FX. IT TURNED OUT TO THE STATER WIRE HAD BEEN WORN THROUGH AND WAS NOT CHARGING THE BATTERY. HOPE THIS HELPS.

Remember guys, he said new battery won't keep a charge. I'm going to assume the old battery was dead, that's why you put a new one in the bike. My idea was to make sure he properly charged the new battery first. If so, then you need to start looking for what is draining the battery or not causing it to charge. I like the starter wire idea. But, if it's turning the motor over at normal speed, and it won't start after you charged it and it's been a few days, then I would change or check the plug first.

NOT STARTER WIRE, STATER WIRE. MY PROBLEM WERE THE TWO OR THREE WIRE GOING INTO THE STATER. ITS HAS A PROTECTIVE SLEEVE OVER IT, BUT THE FACTORY WAS CUTTING THEM TOO SHORT SO THE WIRES WOULD RUB ON THE COVER. SHORTED STATER WIRES WOULD LET THE BIKE START ON A FRESHLY CHARGED BATTERY, BUT WOULD NOT KEEP IT CHARGED, EVENTUALLY THE BATTERY WOULD GO DEAD, AND THE BIKE WOULD DIE.
