Verdict on Stainless Oil Filters?

i've searched a few times and never saw a conclusive decision regarding the use of stainless steel oil filters for the engine. can one of the gurus please answer this? i have been considering a scotts filter.

I have always used a Scott's filter in mine, and have never had any engine problems whatsoever. When Doug tore my motor down, he said everything looked brand new, and it had been raced for 1.5 seasons MX.

Without giving a nod to either, I believe a lot of the hoopla with other problems was blamed on the oil filters. One respected mechanic blamed all things that went bad on Cannondales to stainless filters. This was before upgrades to some of the problem parts had been found. I think you can use either one, as long as the oil is changed & inspected for debris in a timely manner.
