I have an 03 cannibal, I am needing to sell due to buying a house and needing the extra cash and I have havent started it in over a year. I went out and tried to start it and it would not turn over. I am wanting to know if there is anything I can or need to do so it will start with ease. Any help would be great, it was running great the last time I rode just have had to much going on with work to ride. Thanks Steve

your battery is done probably...did you hear any sounds at all when you hit the start button?

the battery is fine, I had a battery tender on it for a few days before so it would be charged up. The fuel pump kicks in and I would say turns over but wont fire I guess, I may have worded the first post wrong.

did you throw a new plug in there and see what happens?

Maybe oil seeped into the cylinder or whatever it was when the oil check ball wasn't working? Makes it VERY hard to start and when it does it smokes for awhile like that. Not to mention that after a year you probably have some bad gas unless you put some fresh stuff in it.

give your injectors a light tap with a screwdriver.They can stick shut after sitting for a long time.(varnish)

ITS ALIVE, I put a new spark plug, fresh gas, and a new fuel filter, after about 3 sec. of hitting the starter button it started right up. Check the for sale section if your intrested!!
