it started fine, but was stahling a lot. started right up then after like a mile it stahled and wouldn't start again. Just makes a ticking sound. Keep in mind i'm a girl don't know much about mechanics. any input would be nice.

You need to check all the locations where your wiring harness is grounded to the frame. Make sure they are clean and tight.
