I can't find a 12/32 drill bit anywhere for the moto-mount update.......what gives?

Don't drill out the inserts. Tap them out using the original bolts, by backing the bolt out part way and just tap on the head of the bolt with a heavy hammer. If you don't do it this way, you also have to cut down the spacer that comes with the kit.

Any hardwear store will have them, I found mine at true value hardwear.

Im sure tapping out would work also but i drilled mine.

I think it depends on the kit. The R&S kit requires tapping out the insert, others require drilling.

Got mine from Quadsource, and it says to drill. Anybody else got thier kit from Quadsource? also as far as the bit is concerned would a 12/32 be the same as a 3/8?

Quadsource kit you drill it.Yes 3/8 is same as 12/32.
