I'll leave it at this. Regardless of what happens elsewhere I think I am done. I have talked to the guy who was in charge of scoring who happened to be the 2nd place team in our class. He seems like a stand up guy. I will say I still don't agree, but at least he was willing to post his comments. I don't think I'll be going to Texas next year as it is just too far and too hard to do this and not feel like there was a fair shake. It is a shame this has fallen so far so fast as the first event I went to in Iowa was awesome. This years was better than last years, but still very lacking.

Maybe we should just have our own Cannondale 12 hour race. We could use it as a publicity stunt to bring Cannondale/ATK back into the mainstream. smile.gif

May not be a bad idea, but you would need alot of teams to pull it off. Or alot of Cannondales should I say.

Just enough for competition. smile.gif 5 teams at minimum. We could do it with maybe a group ride feel. Doesn't necessarily have to be 12 hours either. Could be 6 or 8.

Kind of surprising Derno and co. were on the lead lap with the winning team- or did I misunderstand? they must've had some problems, too.

How did the bike swapping and impound thing work? After the tire was lost, how'd you end up in impound? Did you get the wheel/tire back? Did it kill the AL center of the wheel- I'm sure it was a Hiper.

So, where was the oil coming from?

Nice job guys. I'm not surprised about the scoring issues. At the Wisconsin round, they missed our second-to-last lap, costing us positions. The real problem with it was that there wasn't anything you could do about it because there weren't any times or results anywhere to see. I couldn't find anything out until a week or two later when the results were posted on-line. I didn't really mind all that much, I had a great time, but if I had to travel all the way to Texas and spend thousands doing it, I would want the results tallied correctly.
