trx450r vs. yfz450 vs. cannibal 450
Went rinding at a local track in Elizabeth City, NC and got a chance to ride with the honda and the yamaha. The Honda is piped and jetted and was running 18in mxr4 100% tread and the yamaha had the cam mod, vortex programmable ignition box, as well as a pipe and about 65% tread mxr's. As for my cannodale it is basically a diamond racing 450 with all the goodies and supertrapp exhaust running 65% xcr's and 13-40 gearing. We did several holeshot practices starting behind the gate. The guys on the yamaha and honda switched up during the racing and I was consistantly in front of or even with the honda every time, while the yamaha would turn it on about 75 yards down the straight away. I also outweigh the one guy that was faster no matter which machine he was riding by 80-90 pounds, and I have never started behind a gate before. Share more cannondale domination stories!!
Thats about the same kind of success I have had against the 450's. I did however get beat 3 out of 5 by a 426 ex. I hate to say it, but its true. Theres a guy here thats got everything into a ex motor you can get. Flow port, cam, FCR, you name hes got it, and man is it fast. We can pull a start and I can get him a good share of the time for about 20', then he just walks by me, at the 80' mark, I am back even with him, but thats about the time we got to get on the binders. I think if I get a map that hits in the power just a little sooner, I could take him before he has an advantage. I am still sitting 440 and havent done anything but a map and a HMF full exhaust.

I dragged a couple of buddies on 450r's this weekend. I beat both have full race exhausts, great tires, and one had a HRC kit. My dale has a HDC 450, TC exhaust, and about 40% MXR's. I beat the non-HRC one by 2-3 quad lengths, and beat the HRC kitted one 2 out of 4 times. If I had the same tire they had, the HRC one would have been mine ALL the time.:usa

Racing
I have a Diamond Racing 450 setup with full port, 12:5:1 stock compression, 18's MXR4 100% tread, 14/42 gearing. ( I can hit rev limit in 5th with this setup)
RACE results are:
TRX450R (Mods include: K&N, Procircuit pipe, re-jetted, no airbox lid,stk gearing) everything else stock. Results: USA MADE by 2 to 3 bikes.
YFZ450 (MODS: DR D pipe, re-jetted, K&N, no airbox lid, stock gearing) USA MADE by .5 - 1 bike length till I hit 5th gear and he barely creeps by me.
The Motard 5th gear will take care of that. That will be the next test.
