As long as you have coolantflow ,clean radiator and your fan works you will not overheat the engine. And never use OMF radaitor louvers. Use an open screen. Ive run my quad at low speeds in gravel pits and at the dunes doing nothing but hillclimbs for so long the fuel in the tank was boiling but never overheated the engine. I have overheated several engine on the dyno when we disconected the fans to keep temps up but you could tell because the engine would lose a little power and start smoking. Never damaged the engine from it though.

I have rode it all and the only time I overheated was when my radiator was plugged up or covered in mud. It will get hot on a slow trail ride but it shouldn't overheat. I mostly trail ride now and it does fine.

The cooling systems on the atv's seem to be very well engineered and sized for the job. Most people reporting problems had the airflow blocked in one way or the other, an impeller issue or the self bleeder clogged.
Even with big hp gains they have proven reliable.

Mine have never overheated, even dragracing in 90 degree temps. No need to let the technolgy scare you away, evently all other quads will built with the advances Cannondale had years ago.Plus, you will hear 'what kinda four-wheeler is that"? all the places you ride it.
