Pcleiter's points are good ones. I would not recommend H-M to first time riders, especially women who would be more timid. Not that you said they were first timers, just providing perspective. The green trails are all pretty easy and open. Open as in 7'wide or more. There is no riding around the edge of a field and not too many flat trails! But, the fact remains that beyond that 7' in many places is the downslope of a mountain that goes waaaaaayyyy down. And steep to the point that you'd be very hard pressed to get up it on foot. Even on the green, there will be some up/down hills that are way more than most of us can find around home. But they're all do-able by most skill levels, but beyond the edge of that downhill is the same drop off. Just go slow, and they'll be fine. The ground clearance and 4wd of most utilities will let them crawl up them. Just stick to the green trails. For experienced riders, the more difficult trails are awesome as well, with plenty of challenges. Some of the black ones are pretty tough, but we always hit them and get through them. Alot of the difficulty rating is because of the rocks, not so much the terrain.

Honestly, they can't go wrong on any of the trailsystems. And I personally recommend going to more than one. That's my preference, anyway. I'd actually prefer going to a different one everyday. But running a good pace, you get through alot of trails in a full day. 3 days riding is about all most people will need. That 4th day is more like punishment!

If they're worried about the SBS, like I said, check the maps. They show which trails are UTV friendly.

Hope you guys don't mind, I cut and pasted afew post from here and emailed to them so they could read for them selves. I'm not sure of there skill levels. they did make a trip to colorado last year but the pics they had looked like real easy trails. I know that does not mean all the trails were like the pics and most people don't stop in the bad stuff to take pics.

Well, if I must... rolleyes.gif We were all split up on Friday afternoon. A few were already back at the cabin, my cousin was getting a flat fixed at the local cycle shop. Brian, on his 1984 TRX 250, and I, on a Wolverine, left him there and cruised through town on our way on our way back to the cabin. It was just a few minutes after 4:00. We rounded the bend, past the town line and slowly started building speed. I habitually turned my head to check behind me and there he was - Johnny Law. I slowed a bit, but not much as I wasn't going that fast anyway and he looked at first like he was going to pass me but then cut in front of me and came to an abrupt halt. I realized then that it was me that he was after.

The first thing I thought at that point was that he was going to tell me that Brian had ridden off the road or something... But he approached me strongly and demanded my license. 'Give me a second...' It was in my back pack which I had to fight my chest guard to get off... 'Give me your license!' 'What did I do?' 'I got you doing sixty back there! Where's your license?!' 'Me? On this? 60 miles per hour?!?' I gave him my license and he went back to his car. After a few minutes two other cops show up and Cap'n Friendly gives them our licenses and says something to the effect of 'Write them up for 40' before taking off back towards town

Brian and I tried chatting with the officers to figure out what was going on, but they just kinda chuckled about the situation. Something was fishy.

Well, come to find out (my source will remain unnamed...), apparently, earlier in the day my buddy Kevin was riding through town, again with Brian (the only guy for miles around on a red 2 stroke three wheeler), and he (Kevin) popped a wheelie and tore through town at speed. Ruffled the feathers of a few townsfolk. When Brian and I were spotted in town, an APB went out and the chase was on. But when they got me and compared me to the picture that someone snapped of Kevin as he sped through town, they realized they had the wrong man. But they couldn't bring themselves to admit it. There was absolutely no way that I was even doing 40 mph when they nabbed us.

End result, Brian and I had to pay the tickets - $123.50 worth. And Kevin is still on the loose...

That reminds me of the time a cop pulled me over for doing 55 MPH on my ATC125M. When he told me that, I laughed. He didn't like that. I was young enough that I was escorted home and my dad had to listen to a lecture. The cop was an idiot.
